The champions Zilean works best alongside on the Wild Rift China server, lane by lane, with the reason each pairing works.
His page says over-committing Unstoppable Force (R) is close to a death sentence: Chronoshift (R) cast a second earlier removes exactly that sentence. A Malphite who does not pay for the mistake throws the engage when it matters instead of holding it all fight.
Singed lives deep in enemy territory and dies there: Chronoshift (R) forces whoever chases him to kill him twice, and those three seconds are usually enough for help to arrive. The Twisted Timeflow (W) speed is then the exact stat his whole chase-and-escape game is built on.
Soul Unbound (E) always snaps his spirit back on a fixed timer and his page says whoever waits for that moment punishes him for free: Chronoshift (R) placed on him before the dive cancels the punish, and Temporal Mirage (E) slows the people who were waiting.
Stormbringer (R) disables turrets for three seconds and takes him into a dive almost no other fighter can commit to: Chronoshift (R) removes the price of getting it wrong. And Twisted Timeflow (W) hands him the speed he lacks the moment that ultimate is down.
The Hextech Ultimatum (R) locks her into a duel no ally can walk into: Chronoshift (R) placed on her before she jumps is the only help that gets through the wall. It only counts when you are together, though: in a side lane your ultimate never reaches her.
Time In A Bottle (P) is the only ability in the game that hands an ally free experience, and his page says one won skirmish is all Rengar needs to spiral. Then Chronoshift (R) removes the cost of an opening leap that does not close, which is the only way he dies.
His page says Absolute Zero (R) is a long channel enemies simply walk out of: Temporal Mirage (E) under their feet takes that exit away, and the double Time Bomb (Q) pins whoever was ready to interrupt him for a full 1.2 seconds.
Drop a lone Time Bomb (Q) on the target before he arrives: the instant he lands, a second bomb detonates the first for 1.2 seconds of stun, and Infinite Duress (R) — which his page calls dodgeable mid-air — goes off on a body that is standing still instead of running.
Grand Starfall (R) drops him alone in the middle of the enemy team, and his page says that outside Aegis Assault (E) he has nothing to stay alive with: Chronoshift (R) cast before he takes off buys the second life that dive actually needs.
His page grants him no crowd control and no defences at all: the double Time Bomb (Q) is the stun he does not own, and Chronoshift (R) is the extra life that lets him stay in with Highlander (R) running. He is at 47.8% on the CN server, though: the pairing holds up better than he does.
His page says that before level 5 he has no mobility and loses almost every trade: Time In A Bottle (P) is the only ability in the game that hands an ally free experience, and it lands right there, carrying him to Riftwalk (R) ahead of whoever was punishing him.
Demonic Ascension (R) re-arms every six seconds while he stays in demon form, so every extra second inside the fight is extra damage: Chronoshift (R) and the Twisted Timeflow (W) shield are those seconds. And Temporal Mirage (E) makes Nevermove (E) connect on kiters who would walk out.
Death Mark (R) is a telegraphed dive into the enemy backline, and his page says that if it does not close he has nothing left: Chronoshift (R) placed on him before he jumps turns that gamble into a trade that almost always goes his way.
Nasus owns no dash and his page says mobile champions keep him at arm's length: Temporal Mirage (E) pins them where Siphoning Strike (Q) reaches, and Twisted Timeflow (W) gives him the metres. Chronoshift (R) then forces the enemy to kill him twice during Fury of the Sands (R).
Her page says Tibbers keeps attacking even after Annie has been killed: with Chronoshift (R) on her she stands back up three seconds later and finds him still swinging. And she is immobile, so the Twisted Timeflow (W) speed is her only way into range.
His page says anyone who reaches him ends the fight on the spot, and that he needs a peel-heavy team: Chronoshift (R) is the one answer that needs no peel at all, because it stands your carry back up after they have already killed him. Temporal Mirage (E) slows the diver's path in.
She has to reach point-blank range or she is nothing, and every time she gets there she puts her life on the line: a pre-cast Chronoshift (R) takes that risk away, and Temporal Mirage (E) slows whoever was walking out of Wild Rush (E) range before she commits.
Bullet Time (R) is a stationary three-second channel that anyone with a dash simply dances out of: Temporal Mirage (E) laid under her barrage removes that option. And if they interrupt it by killing her, Chronoshift (R) stands her back up while the fight is still live.
She has no shield in her kit and Kanmei's Steps (E) gives her speed rather than a dash: Twisted Timeflow (W) shields the nearest ally, which in lane is her, and adds the metres she is missing. Chronoshift (R) covers the dive her page says she has no answer to.
His page says he needs uninterrupted reps and that lane bullies punish nearly every trade: the double Time Bomb (Q) is the punish that keeps them honest, and Twisted Timeflow (W) shields the hits he takes anyway while stacking Dragon Practice (P).
Final Hour (R) sends her into the backline with the stealth on Tumble (Q): Chronoshift (R) lets her take that dive twice in the same fight. But she wants instant peel, and outside the double Time Bomb (Q) you have none to give her.
